Soil Sampling
Our soil sampling program measures several vital conditions for plant growth including NPK, soil tension, soil moisture, and bioactivity.
These indicators help us optimize the conditions for plant growth and promote more sustainable agricultural practices within community gardens, uplifting them in their fight against food insecurity.
Benefits of Soil Sampling
1 / Widespread Outreach
Soil Sampling provides Rooted in Solutions the ability to connect with community gardens across the United States; all individuals have to do is send a small sample of soil to our headquarters in Atlanta, and we will digitally send back our reports. This allows us to tackle Food Insecurity on a nation-wide scale.
2 / Identifying Trends
Along with providing insightful data to community gardens, we will store the data of the sample along with its geographical location. We hope that, with enough samples, we are able to identify trends across the US.
3 / Offered Accessibility
Our in-host soil sampling is a much cheaper alternative to current, university-run options. Although our more cost-effective process comes with the sacrifice of a little accuracy, the data we provide is still insightful and more relevant to an average gardener.
